Pure and Birkett Long provide Seminar

Forty employers and HR professionals attended an Employment Law seminar held in Essex by Pure and Birkett Long, designed to provide practical HR workshops and employment law updates for local businesses.

Professional recruitment specialists Pure have been working with Birkett Long to run the free seminars for several years now, helping local businesses to stay up to date with the often fast moving and increasingly complicated field of employment and recruitment law. The latest seminar was held at the Holiday Inn in Brentwood on Thursday 17 May and was facilitated by Ben Farrow, Director at Pure, alongside Martin Hopkins, employment law partner at law firm Birkett Long.

The seminar provided an excellent opportunity for HR professionals to come together and discuss industry challenges and best practices from a wide range of different organisations of different sizes and industry sectors. This particular event focused on topics including GDPR, settlement agreements, gender pay gap reporting and employment tribunal fees.

Ben Farrow said: “Whatever sector you operate in, it can be difficult for employers to continually keep up-to-date with changes in HR-related regulations. As a professional recruitment consultancy, we are committed to supporting organisations across the eastern region to recruit, retain and develop the best talent. These events give HR professionals the chance to gain fresh insights into changes within employment law legislation, exploring recent cases and findings by working through real case study scenarios as well as sharing best practice and current challenges with like-minded HR professionals from across the region.”

All those who attended also qualified for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) hours if they were working towards a professional management qualification.
