In the first HR Energy Event of 2018, Pure and Mills & Reeve LLP provided HR professionals with the opportunity to hear from an inspiring guest speaker, described by Workplace Insight Magazine as ‘one of the UK’s most influential HR and workplace commentators’.
Held on Tuesday 17th April at Mills & Reeve’s offices in Norwich, we welcomed David D’Souza, Membership Director and Head of Engagement for CIPD, who gave a thought provoking and engaging workshop on HR Trends for 2018. Having curated two bestselling HR books, and as a regular contributor to several leading HR publications, David covered everything from learning and development and employee engagement through to artificial intelligence in the workplace and the future of HR.
With attendees also having the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with David, the feedback from the event was extremely positive. Delegates described it as a great evening, with an excellent format and superb speaker.
One delegate commented: “It was great to hear from a speaker with a perspective outside of East Anglia, as well as someone with a really insightful, thoughtful and current grasp of the exciting challenges the profession is facing. It was really great to hear language and thinking I could identify with and to hear some dated HR thinking and approaches challenged.”
Another added: “A fantastic opportunity to see David talk to an intimate group. Totally engaging and thought provoking.”
