Best Employer finalists at 2018 Suffolk Business Awards revealed

The finalists of the 2018 Suffolk Business Awards have now been revealed, including the four finalists in the Best Employer category sponsored by Pure and Birketts.

We’re delighted to be co-sponsoring this category with Birketts LLP at the business awards, run by the East Anglian Daily Times and in association with joint main sponsors EDF Energy and Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. Pure was established to support the region’s businesses in sourcing, developing and retaining top talent, which in turn supports our local economic growth. The Best Employer award recognises the organisations which are doing exactly that; developing, supporting and attracting talent to achieve business success.

As part of the judging team, alongside Catherine Johnson from Birketts and Alison Rich from Archant, we have selected four extremely worthy finalists for this category. These are; StrategiQ Marketing in Ipswich, IPRS Health in Little Blakenham, Christies Care in Saxmundham and Breheny Civil Engineering in Needham Market.

In judging the award entries, we were looking for stand-out organisations which have developed innovative employee engagement strategies with a long-term growth vision in mind. Each of these four businesses inspired us with their approach to rewarding and recognising their staff, putting their people first through talent progression, team communication and employee wellbeing, and their commitment to creating an attractive workplace culture and environment.

Jodie Woodrow said: “Congratulations to all four organisations on being chosen as finalists. The Best Employer Award celebrates the fantastic employers and places to work in our region. Being chosen as a finalist and having the chance of winning this prestigious accolade will not only be a hugely motivating experience, it will also help to further enhance employer brand and attract future talent. Good luck to all the finalists in this category and across all the different award categories. We look forward to celebrating with everyone at the awards night in July.”

As part of the entry process for the Best Employer category, all organisations were also asked to complete the Best Employers Eastern Region employee survey to measure their employee engagement, company culture and values. Best Employers Eastern Region was founded by Pure and psychometrics experts eras ltd in 2012 to support organisations in creating workplaces which are stimulating, motivating and bring out the best in their people. It is delivered in partnership with Archant and Birketts.
