Future FD Programme to support next generation of finance professionals and CFOs

The next Future FD Programme, run by Pure and Deloitte, will begin in Cambridge on Wednesday 28 June to help support the next generation of finance professionals and CFOs.

This will be the first of three workshops to be held over the next 12 months and will focus on the topic of ‘The Science of Stress’. The session will look at managing stress, building resilience and identifying stress within your team. Two current FDs will also be guest speakers at the event, sharing their experience of stress and wellbeing in the workplace as well as providing an outline of their own career development.

Pure and Deloitte have been running the Future FD programme for seven years. Having seen the roles and responsibilities of senior finance positions change significantly, the two organisations joined forces to help the region’s up-and-coming talent develop the skills needed to meet the increasing demands of the role. The aim is to help delegates to progress into leadership positions in which they can help to shape an organisation’s overall strategy, direction and culture, as well as instilling a financial approach and mind-set throughout the business.

The programme is delivered free of charge, in return for a £40 donation to the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. To date, the programme has raised more than £2,000 for the charity which supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across the region.

The first workshop of the Future FD programme takes place at Deloitte’s office at City House in Cambridge between 9am and 12.30pm on Wednesday 28 June. Further sessions will be held in October and March 2018.
