Pure launches Finance Leadership Programme

Pure has launched the Finance Leadership Programme designed for finance professionals focused on developing their careers, in collaboration with Grant Thornton.

The Finance Leadership Programme will be a small, invite-only group aimed to introduce a balance of business insight and leadership development within a relaxed and neutral environment.

The Finance Leadership Programme is designed to develop the soft skills and capabilities of the finance leaders of tomorrow. The programme aims to help ambitious finance professionals develop the skills to become true business leaders.

We will host three interactive, round table sessions over the course of 2016, each covering a different subject relevant to senior finance professionals.  At each session we will have subject experts imparting knowledge and sharing their experiences.

Tom Earl, Senior Managing Consultant at Pure said: “This is a programme I have been passionate about for a number of years.  I have recruited finance roles for 10 years now and have watched many talented professionals reach the top.  However, it can sometimes feel like a lonely world and I have certainly learnt that making the move to FD is possibly the hardest move to make and if we can play a small role in helping with this, I would be delighted!  My vision is to create something where liked minded senior finance professionals can get together to gain new skills at the same time as creating a forum to share experiences.  With the Finance Leadership Programme I am confident we have achieved this.”

Trevor Ling Tax Director at Grant Thornton continued: “I was delighted to be asked to by Tom to be involved in the Finance Leadership Programme. This is a subject very close to my heart having spent a significant proportion of my own career in-house helping the development of team members into broader and more commercial finance professionals.  I saw first-hand in my previous roles, where there is a less structured career path due to the limited number of financial positions available, the critical role that a wider support network can play in assisting ambitious and talented individuals to reach their full potential.”
