Pure awards EPOS Now ‘Employer of the Year’ winners at annual EDP Business Awards

Pure is pleased to congratulate EPOS Now, winners of the Pure-sponsored ‘Employer of the Year’ category at the Eastern Daily Press (EDP) Business Awards held last night at the Norfolk Showground.

With many of the region’s leading businesses in attendance, the award recognises the organisations which are demonstrating a clear vision of what attracts new employees and keeps existing teams motivated and engaged. At Pure, we work to support local organisations in sourcing, developing and retaining top talent to help achieve organisational growth. We want to celebrate the companies which are achieving success by putting employees at the heart of the business and this award is the perfect way to do this.

EPOS Now, a vibrant, young tech start-up with its head office based in Norwich, was one of three companies shortlisted for the category. As one of the judges, Lynn Walters, director and co-founder of Pure, explained how they displayed many facets of great workplaces of the future and why they were a truly inspiring employer to meet.

Lynn said: “EPOS Now have set their sights high and are a business which Norfolk can be proud of. The organisation’s work hard play culture was visible from the moment we walked through the door. They have planned their offices to provide creative spaces where their people can think, problem solve and come up with new ideas to the technology they employ, and allow their people to work flexibly whilst creating great service for their customers.

“All the teams displayed high energy, belief and passion working within a fun, collaborative environment. As the business expands, they are investing heavily in their people who are being developed fast and given early responsibility. There is a clear focus on encouraging staff to take responsibility for their objectives, plans and personal development. It was easy to believe in the passionate leadership team and they have created a distinct culture where work is fun. The people we met were passionate about the company, hugely supportive of their team members and keen to develop and better themselves and the company.

“Our congratulations go to everyone at EPOS Now and also to everyone at Potters and Bespak who were worthy finalists in this category. Overall, the EDP Business Awards are a celebration of the dynamism and success of the Norfolk economy and we are proud to be a part of this event.”

More information about the EDP Business Awards and all the winners are included on today’s business news pages and full coverage from the night will be included in a 20 page pull-out supplement in next Wednesday’s EDP Business section.
