A team from Pure enjoyed a fantastic night at the national British Chamber Awards gala dinner in London on Thursday night [26 November].

The event celebrates the very best of British businesses and marks the outstanding achievements of both UK organisations and Chambers of Commerce. Lynn Walters, Gill Buchanan and Abby Dillon were there to represent Pure as national finalists in the People Development Award.

In September Pure was presented with the award for the Cambridgeshire chamber region in this category, which recognises the ongoing commitment to staff development and employee wellbeing. As a result the company was then invited to attend the prestigious national gala event, hosted by BBC Breakfast’s Steph McGovern.

Gill Buchanan, director at Pure, said: “It was a huge honour to have won the regional award and to have been invited to attend the gala event as national finalists. Although we didn’t take home the trophy we are extremely proud to have been part of the event overall. We are committed to making Pure a rewarding and positive place to work and this is underpinned by our values and culture. Our congratulations go to Hodgson Sayers who were crowned the overall winners in this category on the night.”

The Chamber Awards, now in its 12th year, is one of the showpiece events in the business calendar. The People Development Award is one of eight award categories developed to promote the best of British businesses and to celebrate the contribution businesses make to the local community and wider economy.
