Pure launch HR Directors Forum to support Essex HR community

Pure Resourcing Solutions (Pure) saw their Essex-based HR Directors Forum launch at the end of April, giving HR Directors within Essex the opportunity to come together to discuss topical HR issues and trends.

Held at The Lion Inn in Chelmsford, the Forum provided HR Directors with the opportunity for creating and developing senior HR networks, as well as hearing from the key event speaker, Cathy Brown.

Cathy, the Executive Director of Engage for Success, is an expert speaker on employee engagement, business and leadership skills. Engage for Success was developed to increase awareness about the power and potential of employee engagement, ensuring people are prompted to think and learn more about it. Committed to the idea that there is a way to improve personal and organisational growth, Engage for Success provides evidence, case studies and a varied range of tools and ideas about how employee engagement can drive and achieve growth for businesses.

“It was listening to client feedback about the lack of opportunity for HR Directors in Essex to get together and share their experiences that led to us launching the Essex HR Director Forum. We were fortunate to hear from our inspirational key speaker, Cathy Brown from Engage for Success, who is a global expert on employee engagement” Sarah McKee-Harris, HR Recruitment Consultant based in Pure’s Chelmsford branch, explains. “We welcomed HR Directors from a wide-range of Essex-based organisations, such as Benefit, Palmers College, Hallmark Care Homes and Tamdown Group. As a result of their positive feedback, we plan to host a HR Director forum every 6 months.”

Lynn Walters, Director of Pure, said, “We were very privileged to be joined by Cathy Brown who shared her knowledge and experience of working with some of the UK’s most successful businesses and about how their employee engagement strategies set them apart. Following on from Cathy, we presented our employee engagement initiative; Best Employer, Eastern Region, offering companies the opportunity to utilise the employee survey which is a key tool that can help drive employee engagement. ”

Pure launched their free culture and engagement survey in April, providing organisations in the Eastern Region with an invaluable opportunity to gauge their success as a ‘Best Employer’ by asking employees to answer a series of survey questions online around key areas such as motivation, innovation, vision and values.

Developed by Pure, and eras Ltd, provider of psychometric and talent solutions, the ‘Best Employer, Eastern Region’ survey is open to organisations until the end of July 2014.

Taking place every other year, the free survey (normally worth around £2,000) concludes with tailored employer reports and the Best Employer seminars and awards in October.,
