Creating careers at Pure - introducing our newest graduates

We’re really proud of the Pure graduate training programme. Through it, we’ve recently added three new faces to the team. Here’s everything you need to know about our latest graduate recruits.

Working in recruitment is more than just a job. It’s about handling and influencing an important part of people’s lives – their careers and aspirations. It’s also about matching the right candidates with the right organisations, something which can have a real effect on a company’s success. That’s why we created our graduate training programme. It helps us find special people at the start of their careers who are ready to take on these vital responsibilities. In return, we offer them both on and off-the-job training on all aspects of recruitment consultancy. All to make sure they’re fully equipped to offer our candidates and clients an unrivalled service.

How it works

When someone joins our graduate training programme they work in one of our four offices across the east of England. Their roles include developing and managing their own portfolio of clients, and then finding them the right candidates. They get to consult with and advise decision-makers across many different types of businesses, building a wide range of skills and talents at the same time.

We give our graduates a lot of independence. But we also make sure our experienced team is always on hand if they need help or support.

Say hello to our graduate recruitment consultants

The three most recent graduates who’ve joined our team are: Shelina Haque, Ignacio Soto Nicolas and Qumayl Panjwani. Here’s some more information on each of them, including why they chose us, and what they’re looking forward to at Pure.

Shelina Haque

  1. Where did you study?

I graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with a law degree.

  1. What made you choose Pure’s graduate programme?

I went into recruitment because it lets me be myself while building relationships with candidates and clients. Before coming to Pure I worked at another agency for six months. And although I learnt a lot, I wanted to find a company that invests in their staff, and could help me reach my full potential with the right training and tools. Pure fit the bill perfectly – they’re known for their high-quality service and have a reputation for putting people first.

  1. What are you most looking forward to while working at Pure?

Seeing how I can develop and grow. I’m also excited about the sense of achievement I’ll get from placing the right candidates in the right roles. Knowing you’ve made a positive impact on someone’s life is one of the best rewards anyone can get at work.

Ignacio Soto Nicolas

  1. Where did you study?

I graduated from the University of Lincoln where I studied international business management. While I was studying I also did various part-time jobs including being a waiter, food courier and an all round office ace for a small company.

  1. What made you choose Pure’s graduate programme?

Pure has a reputation for taking care of everyone they’re involved with – candidates, clients and employees. So I thought it would be a great place to start my career in recruitment. The interview process was brilliant as well – we spoke about my aspirations for the future in a way that never felt daunting. It was immediately obvious that Pure would be a great fit for me.

  1. What are you most looking forward to while working at Pure?

Starting to place my own candidates. And I’m excited about becoming a valuable team member, developing my skills and progressing.

Qumayl Panjwani

  1. Where did you study?

I graduated with a BSc in business management from the University of East Anglia. I also have some experience of working in accounts and purchase ledger positions.

  1. What made you choose Pure’s graduate programme?

I like the way that Pure strives for continuous improvement as an organisation. And I was also impressed with the emphasis they put on innovation and integrity at work.

  1. What are you most looking forward to while working at Pure?

I can’t wait to see what the future holds at Pure, especially learning more about recruitment consulting and the company as a whole. I’m also looking forward to working and interacting with clients.
