Pure to host Cambridge quiz night for accountancy students

Pure has joined forces with the East Anglian Chartered Accountants' Student Society (EACASS) to host a charity quiz night in Cambridge on Thursday 25 May.

The fun evening will celebrate the end of a busy exam season and is open to ICAEW students. This will give everyone the opportunity to meet other students from local firms. The event will be held at the city’s Architect Pub, located at 43 Castle Street, from 6.30pm. Teams will be made up of three to five people and the winning team will receive a prize.

George Allen, Practice Recruitment specialist at Pure said: “We’re delighted to be organising and running this quiz night with EACASS. Accountancy and financial services are two of our key specialisms and we’re always keen to support the region’s up-and-coming talent in these areas. This includes celebrating their hard work with them, as well as supporting their career progression in the longer term. It looks set to be a great evening and we hope to see lots of people there.”

Ticket prices are £5 which also entitles entrants to two free drinks (beer, wine or soft drinks). The money raised through ticket sales will be split between two different charities. One charity will be chosen by EACASS and the other half will be donated to our chosen charity STARS.

STARS provide bereavement support and pre-bereavement support to children and young people who have experienced the death of an important person in their lives or who are facing losing a loved one. As an independent charity, it relies on charitable donations to continue its work with children and young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
