Suffolk Businesses Raise Money for Suffolk Mind at Annual Charity Quiz Night

Pure Resourcing Solutions (Pure) hosted their fun-packed annual charity quiz last Thursday evening (6th March 2014) at Novotel in Ipswich, raising an amazing £1,500 in aid of the charity Suffolk Mind.

Thirty teams of five with team names such as “Red E or Not”, “Up Jacobs Creek without a Paddle”, “Biomass Bandits” and “Clare’s Collection of Clever Clogs” gathered at the Novotel for the seventh quiz organised by the Ipswich office of Pure, one of the East of England’s leading recruitment consultancy businesses.

Suffolk businesses including Ipswich Hospital, Barclays, Haven Power and Caring Homes came along for the evening of friendly rivalry. It was the P&O Ferrymasters that claimed the quiz crown, with each lucky team member winning a bottle of champagne. A raffle also proved popular with superb prizes including Waterstones goodies, Hintelsham Golf Vouchers, Wolsey Theatre tickets, Prezzo vouchers and many bottles of wine!

Scott Woodrow, Associate Director at the Pure office in Ipswich, said: “We’re delighted to have been able to raise such a wonderful amount for Suffolk Mind. I’d like to thank all the businesses that attended, donated and contributed generously to the event and we look forward to seeing them again next year! Pure has more fundraising events planned, so this is just the beginning of an exciting year of charity support.”

Anna Hughes, Chief Executive of Suffolk Mind said “We would like to thank Pure Resourcing Solutions for choosing Suffolk Mind as its Charity for its Annual Quiz this year. As well as our other services, the quiz gave us an opportunity to introduce our Workplace Wellbeing initiative.  The initiative offers training and advice to businesses to help them support employees with mental health issues.”
