Celebrating partnership and purpose: Arthur Rank Hospice Charity
At Pure, we’re incredibly proud to support Arthur Rank Hospice Charity as our Charity of the Year. As part of this partnership, we were delighted to welcome the team from Arthur Rank Hospice Charity to the Best Employers 2025 launch conference back in March. It was an inspiring opportunity to hear first-hand about the incredible impact their services have across Cambridgeshire and how our collective efforts can make a real difference to those facing difficult times. Below, Arthur Rank Hospice Charity shares more about the work they do, the support they received at the conference, and how you can get involved in the months ahead.
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity are so pleased to be Charity of the Year for Best Employers Eastern Region; we attended the back in March, and it was a fantastic opportunity to share information about the outstanding services provided by Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, which supports over 3,800 patients across Cambridgeshire.
We were thrilled to raise £260 for the charity at the launch conference alone. This amount could potentially fund a 12-hour shift for a nurse or provide a micro-grant to help a family heat their home, offering warmth and comfort to a loved one. A big thank you to everyone for your support and fantastic efforts with the collection drive.
In 2025/26, it will cost £14.09 million to run our services. Contracted services from the NHS are budgeted at £8.14 million, and with the help of our community, we need to raise a further £5.96 million through donations, fundraising activities, retail sales, the Education and Conference Centre and the Bistro.
During the launch conference, attendees heard Xanthe speak about her husband Sam’s experience of the care provided by Hospice at Home, one of the many services offered by Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. On average, a Hospice at Home visit costs £148.78, and £3,730.55 funds Hospice at Home care for one patient. Our nurses provide care across Cambridgeshire, and it costs £5,000 to fund the base for nurses operating in the Huntingdon area.
