Get ready to be inspired at the Best Employers’ launch conference

Best Employers 2023 launch conference

Best Employers, our employee engagement programme, is about bringing businesses across our region together. To share knowledge and experience on transforming workplaces in positive ways, and to build lasting relationships. And it all starts with the launch conference.

What happens at the conference?

We explore how organisations can make the most of their Best Employers’ survey results and use them to create inclusive cultures. We have several exciting guest speakers ready and waiting to tell us about their employee engagement strategies and experiences with Best Employers.

Lynn Walters, co-founder and Director of Pure had this to say about the conference: ‘I’m delighted with the speakers joining us at our 2023 launch conference. They all have enormous experience of developing their workplaces, and will have lots of great advice for making the most of the Best Employers’ programme. I know it’s going to be an inspiring morning.’

Who’s speaking?

Bridget McIntyre, MBE DL, Chair of Notcutts, founder of Alitus and The Blossom Charity, former Non-Executive Director at Adnams and Jarrold, and former CEO of RSA Insurance

Bridget’s passionate about bringing out the best in people through support and encouragement. She’ll be giving us her observations on leadership, and tips on how leaders can adopt an approach based on environmental, social and governance principles.

Alex Triplow, Head of HR and Darren Williams, Director at Holkham Hall and Estate

Holkham’s vision is to be the UK’s most pioneering and sustainable rural estate. As regular and longstanding participants in the Best Employers’ programme, Alex and Darren will share their story, including what they’ve learned from their employees and how they’ve used that insight to transform their HR strategies.

Sarah Atkins, Director of People and Culture and Matthew Jones, Chief Executive of the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA)

EAAA is a charity that provides an emergency medical helicopter for the people of East Anglia. It exists to save lives by quickly getting doctors and critical-care paramedics to seriously ill or injured people. They’ve previously taken part in the Best Employers’ programme, and will be telling us their culture and engagement story.

EAAA is also our chosen charity for this year – we’ll be donating any funds we raise through the programme directly to this life-saving organisation.

When and where is the conference?

Tuesday, 28 March from 8.30am to 1.15pm at the Newmarket Racecourse Conference Centre. Book your place. We can’t wait to meet you.
