Ten top tips to strengthen your mental health at work
Mental Health Awareness Week was created by the Mental Health Foundation to highlight the different ways in which we can all contribute to improving our mental health.
The theme is ‘Surviving or Thriving’ and it focuses on the UK’s overall mental health. A special report has been commissioned which shows that many of us are not thriving as much as we would want to be. Only a small minority (13%) report living with high levels of good mental health.
The report includes recommendations for ten steps we can all take to thrive and to look after our mental health. We think these are great tips and we’ve looked at how each one of these can be directly applied to the workplace - how employers can look to support their teams, how colleagues can support each other, and the role we can all play in strengthening our own mental health while we are at work.
