Pure to host Ipswich Charity Quiz Night in aid of Lighthouse Women’s Aid

The Pure team in Ipswich is once again hosting an annual charity quiz night, which this year will be in support of Lighthouse Women’s Aid.

Teams from local businesses are invited to register for the fun-filled battle of the brains which takes place on Thursday 23 February at the Novotel Hotel in Ipswich. The annual event always proves popular as organisations get to pit their wits against each other in aid of a local charity. This year, Pure has chosen to support Lighthouse Women’s Aid which provides safe and supportive refuge to women and children in Suffolk.

Paul Sheldrake, Manager at Pure’s Ipswich office, said: “We’ve been hosting charity quiz nights for many years and they are always good fun with lots of friendly rivalry. They are also a great opportunity for businesses to come together in support of local charities. This year we’ve chosen to support Lighthouse Women’s Aid in Ipswich which has been supporting people experiencing domestic abuse for more than 40 years. Some of our team volunteered with this charity before Christmas, as part of our #IpswichBig10 anniversary campaign, and we’ve seen first-hand the incredible work this charity does every day. We hope lots of people are able to join us for the quiz to help raise funds for this extremely worthwhile cause.”

The entry fee is £40 for each team of up to five people, with the full amount being donated to the charity. There is also a raffle held on the night and teams are asked to bring a corporate donation or prize to be included.

Last year’s Ipswich quiz was attended by 32 teams and raised £1,900 for Ormiston Families, a charity which provides services to support children and young people in the East of England.
