On 12^th-13^th June 2015, our intrepid Pure challenge team set out to conquer 3 Peaks in 24 hours with the aim of raising funds for chosen charities, Arthur Rank Hospice (ARHC) and Thrombosis UK.

The team, consisting of Claire Pitt, Caroline Batchelor, Lynn Walters, 15 year old daughter Nella Walters, Paul Sheldrake, Kelly Earl and Gabby Wright conquered Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon led by Cambridge accountant and experienced mountaineer Tom LeHane.

In total the team travelled 1,150 miles, walked 26 miles and climbed 10,300 feet and raised a staggering £5,936 for charity - £2,536 for Thrombosis UK and £3,400 for ARHC.

Claire Pitt, recruitment consultant at Pure said “The National 3 Peaks Challenge was definitely the most difficult and gruelling challenge I've ever faced, physically, mentally and emotionally. After losing my very dear friend to a DVT last summer I personally was determined to raise money to support the Thrombosis UK charity. The team support was amazing and I'm so chuffed we all finished it and managed to raise an amazing amount for our charities (not without some tears and laughter along the way!)”

Lynn Walters, Director of Pure added “We are delighted to have raised funds for ARHC as their current hospice is not fit for purpose and they are in the process of building a new facility which requires significant funds to complete. For me, one of the best parts about the challenge was sharing it with an amazing group of people who demonstrated absolute grit and determination to complete the task.”
