Pure Resourcing Solutions (Pure) hosted its annual charity quiz last night (Thursday 12 November), bringing local businesses and clients together for a fun evening which raised over £1,100 for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity (ARHC).
With 20 teams of five, including teams from PwC, software company Cordic, Cambridge Housing Society and accountancy firm UHY, there was a lot of friendly rivalry on the night. The overall winners were a team from PEM, the independent accountants, tax and business advisors based in Cambridge. Each winning team member was presented with a bottle of champagne.
The event, held at the new venue of the Cambridge Belfry Hotel in Cambourne, also included a raffle to help raise further funds. The prizes including a flying experience, vouchers, afternoon tea, hampers and a free round of golf for four people: all kindly donated by local businesses.
David Culley, co - Manager of Pure’s Cambridge office said: “We’ve been hosting quiz nights for many years and last night’s event proved to be as enjoyable as ever. Thank you to everyone who took part, or who contributed in some way to help us raise money for this amazing charity. It was particularly nice to welcome so many new clients and also to hear Peter Tingley, an ambassador for ARHC, speak so engagingly about how the money raised would be used to continue providing essential support to people in our local community.”
ARHC is dedicated to providing specialist palliative care and support to adult patients and their family, friends and carers. It operates as a charity and all care is provided free of charge to people living throughout much of Cambridgeshire.
Pure is committed to its charity partners across the region and to date the leading recruitment consultancy business has raised £99,146.08.
