Essex Businesses Raise Funds for The J’s Hospice at Pure Annual Charity Quiz Night
Pure Resourcing Solutions (Pure) hosted a fun-packed annual charity quiz last night (Wednesday 22 April) at the Holiday Inn, Basildon, raising £1,150 for The J’s Hospice, a Chelmsford-based charity, which provides respite care services for young adults with life-limiting and terminal conditions.
Teams such as Havana Nights from Konica Minolta Business Solutions & Quizzee Rascals from Microdec attended the evening of friendly rivalry, which was organised by Pure - one of the East of England’s leading recruitment consultancy businesses.
It was Mullis & Peake that were crowned quiz champions for the second year running with each lucky team member winning a bottle of champagne. A raffle also proved popular with fantastic prizes including a signed cricket top, Benefit make-up, Playmobil toys and various restaurant vouchers around Essex.
Ben Farrow, Manager of Pure’s Chelmsford office, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in this year's event, and for those who have contributed in previous years - without your support we couldn't have raised such a fabulous amount. Our relationship with The J’s Hospice is very important to us and we are so proud to be supporting a wonderful charity.”
Laura Birden, Corporate Fundraiser of The J’s Hospice, added: “On behalf of everyone at the charity, I’d like to thank the quiz teams and Pure for raising funds for our small charity that makes a BIG difference to young adults aged 16-40 with life-limiting and life threatening conditions across Essex. We provide a wide range of services, through specialist hospice and respite care which is tailored to the needs of the patient and their family and delivered in the comfort of their own home.”
Pure is committed to its charity partners across the region and has raised £85,236.70 to date.
