IT Programme Manager

I am delighted to be supporting South Norfolk and Broadland District Council in the key appointment of a new IT Programme Manager, who will play a key part of their current project and programme delivery in the IT and Digital function.

The Council provides services that make a real difference to the lives of the people in South Norfolk and Broadland. From collecting your bin every week and supporting families who fall on hard times, to securing multi-million-pound investment to grow the businesses and jobs in South Norfolk and Broadland.

South Norfolk and Broadland District Council are currently investing heavily in an ambitious programme of work to modernise and optimise their technology to aid the delivery of transformation initiatives. In a nutshell, they aim to leverage modern technology to deliver first class customer service, use data to inform service design and enable a truly agile workforce. The recent roll out of Microsoft Office 365, coupled with the modernisation of their IT network has laid solid foundations, but they are not finished yet. An exciting programme with plenty of opportunity to lead, shape and influence their digital transformation agenda is on offer.

Do you have exceptional planning and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex projects into a cohesive sequence to enable effective programme delivery? Then this position could be for you!

Responsibilities:

Define configuration specifications and business requirements to inform technical delivery.
Determine operational objectives by understanding business functions, gathering information and evaluating output requirements and formats.
Construct workflow charts and diagrams, realising system capabilities and writing specifications.
Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements, forming project teams and establishing project budgets.
Monitor project and programme progress throughout the project life cycle monitoring risks and issues, publishing progress reports and project budget monitoring.
Interpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making.
Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any programme
Act as a liaison between the business and the IT and digital team.

I am looking for someone who is a proven programme manager/ lead. You will have experience of managing and implementing projects and programmes. The successful individual will be working with and supporting business managers and staff across a variety of disciplines and have the ability to establish credibility and influence senior officers and stakeholders.
