They're very welcoming and easy to get along with. The business are known globally for their racing and breeding capabilities. 

This role will look after the transactional side of accounts and the successful candidate will be responsible for purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking and adhoc month end duties. The business are looking for a temporary employee until March next year at which stage the role could potentially be extended. The company are working in the office so this role will be office based 5 days a week. 

The main duties of the role are as follows:

Accounting

  • Allocation of all income and expenditure by horse and posting transactions to the relevant ledgers
  • Processing of all European trainer invoices and subsequent payment requests
  • Generation of month end racing journals for approval
  • Creation of Intercompany invoices
  • Maintaining the Racing cash books, and preparation of the monthly bank reconciliations
  • Calculation of contractual additional payments for approval
  • Processing sales invoices and claiming auction sales funds
  • Investigation of any unauthorised costs/queries with trainer offices
  • Adhoc month end reporting

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

Desirable
  • Experience of using Oracle or NetSuite accounting system
  • Accounting qualification
