Salary£11 - £13 per hour
I am currently recruiting for a fast growing health business based in the heart of the city centre. This position will be mostly office based but there will be two days a week where the successful candidate can work from home. The company don't offer parking. The company are looking for temporary Finance Assistant to join their fast growing finance team. This position will focus on supporting the wider finance team with general transactional tasks. For the right candidate, this position could become a permanent opportunity. 

The position could be offered on 32 hours per week or full time 40 hours per week. 

Responsibilities include:
  • Full responsibility for Purchase Ledger, including processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements and creating weekly payment runs
  • Preparing and sending sales invoices for trade/retail sales and following up on late payments
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Basic month end journals, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Financial analysis and management work – tracking trends etc
  • Office stationery orders, and other office management duties, as required
  • Additional ad hoc duties as required
As the Accounts Assistant, you will ideally possess the following set of skills and attributes:
  • AAT qualified, finalist or possess relevant equivalent experience
  • Experience of working with Xero accounts software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Brilliant communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive in your approach and willing to use your initiative to solve problems
  • Strong excel skills
