Supply Chain ManagerReference: BH-58820
If you are an experienced Manager with experience of working in an FMCG environment and overseeing both Supply Chain and Stores teams then we have an incredible opportunity to work for one of, if not THE most well-established organisation in East Anglia. This is a company that has solid and historical relationships with a high-end, high profile client base and will only accept the very best. One that has experienced considerable growth and is very forward-thinking in its attitude, whilst ensuring that it never forgets its roots and what got it to being the best in the business in the first place.
Due to an internal restructure, my client is seeking someone to lead and develop the Supply Chain team to drive the current and future manufacturing and sustainability requirements of the business and their customers, developing and maintaining strong two-way supplier relationships and achieving optimum service levels.
You will be responsible for people engagement, strategic planning, supplier performance, materials purchasing, technical specification, product development, stock control, materials quality control and testing, KPI's, audits, budget management, development, and more. Ethical trading and sustainability is high on their priority list so experience in this would be highly advantageous.
We are seeking someone who is dynamic, self-sufficient, open to changes with a strong personality and a keenness to 'get involved' and make a difference. You will have experience of purchasing, MRP, and people leadership within a relevant industrial environment and possess a strong commercial acumen. As above, you'll have an understanding and desire to manage sustainability within an SME environment, being familiar with frameworks and reporting. You will be able to influence, articulate, and be a strong communicator with an executive presence who is comfortable with negotiations and supplier engagement. In addition, you will also be analytical and a collaborative team worker. You will also have experience of supplier auditing and be prepared to travel several times per year, both in the UK and overseas. A CIPS qualification Level 4 or above is highly desirable but not essential if you have the right time-served experience and advanced Excel is also a requirement. A driving licence and your own transport is essential.
In return you will receive a very competitive salary, annual leave, free parking, pension, life insurance, profit share and more. This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
