Service Desk Engineer
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £20,000 – £24,000

My central based client is looking for a Service Desk Engineer to join there growing team. The ideal candidate will have a up to 1 years’ experience in an IT working environment or they would consider a degree in an IT related subject. The client leads the market in supporting businesses IT function around the surrounding area. This role offers a candidate the chance to gain qualifications and progress their career in the IT world.
 
Responsibilities
  • Provide 1st line support for clients either through tickets, phone calls and emails
  • Be able to diagnose and troubleshoot IT related issues either remotely or onsite
  • Install and configure hardware and software
  • Manage security task such as backups for client and monitor any suspicious activity
 
Essential
  • Experience working within an IT helpdesk environment up to 1 year
  • Degree in an IT related field if no commercial experience related
  • Good customer service skills both verbal and written
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt in certain situations
