We are currently recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant, who will be in charge of the Financial and Management accounting of debt and treasury instruments such as derivatives and investments. The role provides key support in the preparation of monthly management accounts and semi-annual statutory accounts under IFRS, regulatory and debt covenant reporting.  Primarily focused on Treasury accounting, the role will work closely with the Group reporting team helping to provide commercial solutions to technical accounting challenges and ensuring that complex group consolidations are managed and accounted for accurately.


You will be required to ensure that the accounting policies are compliant with the latest accounting standards, being responsible for the production of accurate and timely monthly treasury accounting including valuation of derivative and preparing proofs and reconciliations to support the group consolidation.


Preparing the presentation pack, and supporting papers, for the use by the Chief Financial Officer in presenting Group results to investors.   You will ensure there is an alignment of management and statutory accounts by passing down year-end and half year adjustments to the management accounts and reconciling the opening balances to the pack submissions.


Finally, you will be establishing and maintaining efficient systems and processes for collating and consolidating financial accounts from the business divisions and ensuring that changes in account standards are incorporated in these submissions.


You will be Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or equivalent and  ideally with experience in audit and/or treasury accounting. Knowledge of International Reporting Standards (IFRS) critical with prior practical experience with IFRS 9, IFRS 13, IFRS 16 or IFRS 10 helpful as is  experience in accounting for debt and derivatives (hedge accounting also advantageous)
