We are delighted to be working with an up-and-coming Biotech company, looking for an experienced Software Development Manager or Agile Scrum Master from a technical background to join their team in developing cutting edge scientific technology.
Our client is offering a great leadership role whereby you will be involved in the design and development of their next generation software, providing technical project management across the software development lifecycle, as well as implementing Agile methodologies and processes to ensure software is delivered efficiently and effectively to the business.
This role will also involve the opportunity to work on a newly developed, leading-edge platform, based in their modernized West Cambridge offices. Biotech experience in not necessary, but would be advantageous, however this opportunity offers a great chance to develop an understanding of the industry.
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
  • Technical Project Management, using Agile methodologies
  • Direct line management of Software Engineers as well as working directly with Lead Developers
  • Stakeholder management and building strong working relationships across the client’s teams
  • Running daily stand-ups, co-ordinating development sprints, reporting on project status
  • Playing an active role in recruitment for the Software and Product Integration team
We are looking for someone with:
  • Strong background in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) software delivery project management
  • Understanding of the Agile software development cycle
  • Prior experience of people management
  • Excellent academic record in a relevant technical discipline such as Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • Previous experience in programming (C#, C++), any embedded experience is preferred
