We are recruiting for a well-established, successful company in Bishop’s Stortford, who are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk/ Accounts Assistant to join their established team, on a permanent basis.
 
You will take ownership and responsibility of all purchase ledger duties and work within the wider accounts team.  
 
Key Responsibilities as follows:
  • Inputting purchase invoices into the accounts system
  • Liaising with Suppliers and Customers
  • Handling incoming general and accounts related inquiries
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Chasing outstanding credit notes
  • Account reconciliations
  • Ensuring costs are being charged out via the system
 
Key Requirements for the role:
  • Must have experience within a similar role processing high volume purchase ledger invoices
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise their workload efficiently and effectively
  • Good Excel skills
  • Must have experience working well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and individually
  • Have knowledge of accountancy software
