My client is one of the most familiar names across East Anglia with a turnover of over £50million per year. They have expanded year-on-year and have aggressive plans to solidify their place as the number one in their sector over the next couple of years in terms of both growth and modernisation. In order to do this they are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the company and become a key component within the team.

Reporting into the Operations Director, and working closely with both the Engineering Manager and the Project Manager, your role will be to install new heavy plant and equipment. This will cover the full process including the design, modification of existing and new machinery, fitting, commissioning, and then setting up the PPM schedules. You will also manage internal staff and contractors that have been assigned to assist you with each project.

The ideal person for this role will have proven experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate past successes as well as evidence of previous projects up to £1million. You will have solid design experience, either with AutoCAD or Solidworks and be able to convert concepts into technical drawings. You'll have a sound knowledge of both Mechanical and HV Electrical Engineering with heavy plant, conveyers etc and if you have any automation / PLC experience then this would also be advantageous. Fabrication skills are essential, as is the ability to be able to liaise with customers, colleagues, management, and external contractors. You will be highly Health & Safety conscious and have a flexible nature in regards to overtime and some weekend work during time-sensitive projects. If you have a continuous improvement qualification or experience of this then this would be welcome. The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working within a Recycling / Scrap Metal environment, although this is not essential.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, working 08:30-17:00 with a degree of flexibility required. The position pays a highly competitive salary with great benefits and the chance to work for a large, well-established,  and very successful  organisation with huge growth plans.

If this position sounds of interest and you have the required skills and experience then apply now!
