Pricing Manager

I am absolutely thrilled to be partnering with my high profile client who is seeking someone with a commercial mindset (preferable from a retail background) to join their team to build their pricing capabilities. Your proven ability to understand how pricing decisions affect customer behaviour will enable them to spot the opportunities that will help them grow in a sustainable way.

You'll actively work with the sales data to lead the pricing decision-making process. With thousands of active sales lines, you’ll be comfortable working with volume, and you’ll have a keen eye for detail.

Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, your principal accountabilities will be to:

• Support the development of the retail pricing strategy and represent pricing in the Strategy Governance Group
• Work closely with the commercial teams to ensure that they deliver a strong offer for the customers and members in a way that also delivers sustainable profits.
• Become the expert in the pricing software and ensure that it's used to the best of its capability
• Keep an eye on competitor pricing activity and share market trends with internal stakeholders
• Coaching of two direct reports
• Ad-hoc analysis and duties 

The ideal applicant will have previous experience of working in a pricing team, preferably within the retail sector.

• You’ll have a commercial focus and be keen to take ownership of delivering results.
• You'll inspire your direct reports and encourage ideas.
• With a questioning mindset and commitment to continuous improvement, you’ll be keen to develop the quality of your team’s output.
• You’ll be able to work quickly across a wide range of tasks. Attention to detail will be second nature, with the need for accuracy clearly understood.
• Able to communicate key financial information both in writing and verbally to non-finance personnel at senior manager and executive level.

This is a full time, permanent position, paying a competitive salary with the option of a hybrid working pattern.
