You will be responsible for ensuring that products and services are ready to ship to customers on time and in full. To ensure accurate and timely data is input on the Company’s ERP system, to provide analysis and reports of manufacturing data and to support Senior Management with the continuous improvement of the business.

Main Duties and attributes:

SCHEDULING:
  • Create and maintain production schedules matched to customer shipment requirements & safety stock policy whilst highlighting anomalies
  • Schedule works orders for production optimisation, liaising closely with the Production team
  • Maintain the Factory Master ERP system and associated Excel files to plan and prepare production schedules
  • Liaise with Development/Engineering to support timely scheduling of new products into production
  • Short to medium term material planning
MATERIALS FLOW:
  • Order raw material supplies, liaising with suppliers to ensure materials are available to meet the production schedule approved by the FD
  • Control the flow of stock/materials and components throughout the production facility - manage throughput/lead-times by using Factory Master and WIP inventory checks
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to monitor schedule variances and production output
  • Monitor the effect of problems that occur during production, including materials flow constrictions, staff shortages and machinery downtime and amend production schedule as required
  • Review material shortages and stock outages
  • Regularly communicate with Key Suppliers, analyse their delivery and quality performance and feedback where necessary
  • Establish, maintain, review and adjust Economic Order Quantities to minimise total costs relating to ordering, receiving and holding stock
MONTH-END ACTIVITIES:
  • Reconcile Gross Margin to quotes/estimates and monthly accounts
  • Produce Stock and WIP reports and reconcile the quarterly stock takes
  • Produce OTIF report
  • Produce supplier reports
  • Produce yields and waste reports
SYSTEMS:
  • Take ownership of Factory Master ERP system including the integrity & timeliness of data input. Update and maintain the system for new part numbers, bills of materials, drawings registers
  • Prepare and issue necessary shop floor documentation
  • Prepare any required documentation for shipping
  • Factory Master Super User at site level
 

OTHER:
  • Maintain excellent customer service levels internally and externally
  • Support other departments where required and be the “go to” person for updates on the status of orders
You must have previous purchasing experience, be self motivated and organised with strong analytical skills, proficient in the use of MRP/ERP systems and Excel.
