Salary£30000 - £35000 per annum
We are working with a very well established organisation in Braintree looking for an experienced Payroll and Accounts Officer to join their finance team. 

This is a hybrid position with a competitive salary and great benefis.

Key Responsibilities

Process the fortnightly payroll using information from site personnel and company systems.
Upload of information to payroll bureau and subsequent downloading and checking reports and payroll finalisation.
Managing and resolving employee payroll related queries and issuing communications.
Regular interaction with HR Department to ensure integrity of payroll information including regular payroll meetings
Maintaining payroll related schedules.
Provide backup to Payroll Manager on Monthly Payroll processing.
Processing & reviewing expense payments via SAP Concur system
Support for management accounts delivery at month and year end
Develop understanding of company accounts, including splits between project costs & overheads
Post journals on SAP (Company’s accounting system)
Provide ad-hoc SAP and accounts support for Management Accountant
Key Requirements 
Finance Background – Previously experience in a Finance/Accounting/ Payroll position
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with HR and project teams
Up to date knowledge of payroll tax legislation
Desire to develop professionally in the future though further study (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
Strong experience working with Microsoft Excel
