We're hiring! We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team from either our Cambridge or Norwich offices as part of our internal Technical Support team. This is a great opportunity to be part of some really interesting project work as well as BAU work with an organisation that put's it's staff first at all times. We're busy with technical upgrade projects and are looking to grow our team to support our expanding business. Established in 2002 we are a successful organisation with 4 locations across East Anglia and a fantastic team mentality. We are locally known for our outstanding reputation and we are looking for someone who will share our vision of great quality work. Reporting into the IT and Projects Manager you should be a self starter who enjoys new challenges and opportunities to learn. 
Our Cambridge office is based just outside of the city centre in Histon and has free on site parking with great local access from the Guided Busway. 
Our Norwich office is city centre based and has lots of local parking available.

Key Tasks: 

  • 1st line support for all incoming queries from our 80 staff user base. This could be face to face, by phone or by email 
  • Escallating queries where necessary to our IT Manager and/or external IT Consultant 
  • Active Directory user maintenance 
  • New starter set up and user removal set up 
  • Cloud password resets
  • Outlook and database amendments 
  • Hardware support including Desktops, printers, phones, docks and copiers 
  • Troubleshooting network and applications issues 
  • Reconfig and monitoring of the firewall, network and VPN as necessary 
  • Database support including: upgrades, record merging, additions 
  • Telecoms systems maintenance and hardware ordering 
  • Website support including updates and release management 

Essential Skills: 

  • At least 12 monts exprience within a Technical Support or helpdesk role 
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable with liaising with all levels of users from across the business 
  • Self starter and excellent time management skills, we are looking for someone who works well under their own management 
  • Active Directory and Office 365 experience 
  • Must poses an active driving license  
  • Will be happy to travel to our Norwich, Cambridge, Chelmsford and Ipswich locations as/when required 
  • Some desktop support experience is desirable 
  • A can-do attitude and genuine eagerness to learn is essential, you will be provided lots of learning opportunity
