Do you work in Tax? Do you want to work for a growing Tax team for a global organisation based in Cambridge? Reporting up to the Director, International Tax, the International Tax Manager will ensure the combined organisation is compliant with all of its UK and overseas tax reporting and tax return filing requirements. This will include managing up to two Tax Analysts to ensure up to date reporting via the University wide compliance tracking tool. Being the main point of contact for and advising the Business on the international tax implications of tenders and new revenue streams will also be a key part of the role.

  • Ensure all tax returns and tax reporting requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Alongside UK and overseas tax return compliance, ensuring the combined organisation is compliant with SAO, CCO and Gift Aid requirements will be essential to the success of the role.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Ensure an adequate level of review is carried out on all tax elements of financial statements and other filings, including overseas reporting
  • Taking responsibility for Group Tax reporting including management and recommendations on the combined organisations effective tax rate.
  • Assisting the Organisation on contractual/operational queries including withholding tax compliance.
  • Advising the Business on the tax consequences of key tenders and proposals, liaising with the wider tax team as needed.
You will have a comprehensive experience of direct tax on a UK and international perspective and hold a professional tax or accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ADIT, ACCA, CTA or similar) and have experience of transfer pricing principles. This role could suit someone currently working as an Assistant Tax Manager or Tax Manager in practice (ideally big 4) or someone doing a similar role in industry.
