We are delighted to be supporting a wonderful charity in Norwich to recruit a skilled Finance Director to lead their team for the next 6 months.

Working closely with the CEO, this role will involve a huge variety of tasks and some interesting projects too.

The role: 

Help develop the charities strategy and lead the day-to-day finance team as a member of the Management Team
Lead on the development of the financial plans and forecasts assisting the Board and Management team in setting financially sustainable long-term plans,Report to the Board on all financial matters
Lead on efficiency and effectiveness review
Lead the development of the ICT strategy and Cyber-Security measures ensuring the Company’s data is kept secure.
Take responsibility for the statutory reporting needed, including its GPDR obligations.
Ability to lead a small and flexible Finance Team supervising their work and, on some occasions, taking a hands-on role.
 
Provide financial advice to the Chief Executive, Management Team, and the Board.
Keep the Chairman and Board informed of the financial state of the organisation.
Lead on the development and implementation of effective management and financial information systems ensuring compliance monitoring where necessary.
Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, Board Financial reports, and monthly management accounts to evaluate the performance and support a culture of continuous improvement.
Manage the cash resources of the business, including unrestricted reserves.
Lead on the production of annual and Statutory Accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act and the Charity Commission liaising with the auditors.
Ensure proper administration/management of the Company’s tax liabilities and returns to HMRC.
As Company Secretary, administer Board appointments and the company’s AGM.

 
Liaise with the charities external advisers to ensure ICT support, pension provision and insurance schemes remain appropriate to the organisation’s need.
Ensure that appropriate insurances are in place for all the Company’s assets, the business it undertakes and the associated risks.
