We are delighted to be recruiting a HR Assistant to join a fantastic organisation in central Ipswich. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide generalist HR support to the HR Manager and People Managers. This is a excellent opportunity to join a busy organisation who have big growth plans in the future. 

Key Responsibilities 
  • Being the first point of contact for HR enquiries and queries
  • Support with the recruitment of new staff, advertising jobs, arranging and attending interviews 
  • Onboarding new starters, producing offer letters and contracts and ensuring all is ready for their first day
  • Updating holiday and absence records 
  • Collating data for payroll
  • Advising People Managers on HR policies/ procedures or escalating to HR Manager if needed  
  • Ad hoc project work as required

Key Skills
  • Experience of working within a HR role is essential 
  • Organised, efficient and able to prioritise multiple tasks 
  • Excellent IT sills with a good understanding of MS Office packages and HR systems 
  • A understanding of up to date employment law would be advantageous
