We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, collaborative and professional Head of People Services, who will be responsible for the delivery of cradle to grave People Services to include ‘first point of contact’ and all people transactions for officers, staff and managers.
They will also lead the delivery of specialist attraction and recruitment support and the provision of workplace health services.

- Chartered MCIPD and significant post qualification experience
- Significant experience of leading and managing professional HR and recruitment staff
- Ability to motivate teams to deliver against challenging deadlines with conflicting priorities
- Ability to translate strategy into action and shape HR services to support organisational needs
- Thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and best HR practice (with a particular focus on recruitment and resourcing)
- Experience in leading, managing and delivering complex HR projects/initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex issues succinctly in writing, and communicate contentious and sensitive issues to a range of audiences
- Well-developed negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain effective, positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
