We are delighted to be working with a prestigious Suffolk charity and assisting in the recruitment of a Head of Finance to join their team.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a dedicated team and ensure the smooth running of the finance function. The main responsibility is to over see the day to day transactions are completed by the team and produce accurate and comprehensive financial management information.
Duties:
There will be training available for some aspects of the role however an existing understanding of how a charity operates is essential along with experience of working in a finance department. You will have proven leadership skills and have the ability to motivate and support the wider finance team.

Hybrid working is available however there is an expectation of being in the office a minimum of one day a week.

Duties:
- Produce the annual budget with analysis and modelling, working closely stakeholders.
- Review financial information and produce accurate and timely financial reporting to assist with overall decision making.
- Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts and other financial reports.
- Provide cash flow projections
- Ensure legal compliance in line with Companies House, Charity Commission and HMRC requirements.
- Oversee and authorise the quarterly VAT returns
- Review and authorise monthly payroll.
- Liaise with auditors as required.
- Provide leadership and effective line management to the finance team
