Salary£22000 - £28000 per annum
We are working with a leading professional services business in Cambridgeshire in the search for a Graduate or Junior Developer to join their growing team.

You will work closely with the IT Director, Lead Developer and Consultants on delivering the end to end software solutions for legacy database and applications, including being involved with a full architectural review and potential redevelopment project.

Working within the development team, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues on complex applications and database structures, in a business where knowledge sharing is at the core of driving quality and efficiencies. You will work heavily with the data, including the development of reports for the business, and learn to build self-contained apps from scratch, and be adept at overcoming challenging and complex data sets and applications.

The role will require you to have a degree in a Computer/Software related field, or relevant experience, and an interest in working within Business Management Systems.

The job role will lead to the following;
Relational databases, Microsoft SQL, API development and interfacing with 3rd party applications
Data manipulation and reporting using SQL and related reporting tools
Working across the entire SDLC from requirements to delivery, and managing conflicting priorities in a non-structured development environment where requirements change
Developing process workflows and automation of actions, including automated software testing
The team are working on a number of internal products and 3rd party apps, producing cutting edge workflow and business efficiency solutions through automated code generation tools.

These solutions are unique, bespoke, adventurous and are not “run of the mill”. You will work closely with the business and major stakeholders to understand the current system landscape, challenges and opportunities for development. They will encourage you to have ideas around how the technology landscape and business processes can be improved.

The work will be extremely varied due to being so heavily involved in all elements of the SDLC, from inception, requirements gathering, architecture, development, testing, integration, deployment, training, documentation and so on. There is also a large portion of the role developing reports, which again may need to be reviewed to ensure they are offering actionable Business Intelligence. The breadth of this role is extensive, and will be a really exciting and complex challenge for someone to take on.

In return you get exceptional training being hands on straight away, lots of autonomy, remote working, excellent benefits, and a great company culture where employee voice is heard!
