Excellent end-to-end, No 1 Finance role with an opportunity to work with the owners and Directors to help grow and shape the business. 

  • To provide the company directors and management with the financial information required to enable them to make appropriate strategic and operational decisions for the business.
  • To assist in ensuring the company’s compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements and relevant tax legislation.
  • To lead a small accounts and payroll team in ensuring that suppliers and employees are paid the correct amounts due to them, in a timely manner and that all goods sold are correctly invoiced and that monies owed are collected, in the required timeframe

• Preparation of monthly internal Management Accounts
• Preparation of Statutory annual accounts, including liaising with external auditors and dealing with audit queries
• Preparation and monitoring of internal costings, including yield data and processing costs
• Preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns, Intrastat Returns and EC Sales lists
• Overseeing payroll function, including processing of monthly salaries
• Liaising with company bankers and other lenders, particularly in connection with arrangement of asset finance
• Inputting of daily bank transactions and regular bank reconciliations
• Payment of suppliers and employees through the company’s online banking system
• Monitoring currency requirements and arranging currency purchases
• Completion of other statutory financial returns including Office for National Statistics enquiries
• Working with all managers, business partnering and providing analysis to support business decisions
• Implementing and driving financial process and system improvements, ensuring the Company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth plans
• Assist in sourcing and implementation of appropriate software solution for the business, primarily the ERP system
• Providing financial advice and guidance to all departments across the business
• Developing and maintaining product and project cost saving solutions
• Providing financial analysis, capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations
• Measure KPI'S and demonstrate business performance
• Preparing, managing and delivering annual budgets and forecasts
• Providing commercial reporting and analysis to aid strategic growth plans Knowledge, Skill, Experience & Attributes
