Financial Controller

Currently recruiting a qualified Financial Controller ACA, ACCA CIMA or equivalent  for a business going through a large growth phase. This role will be instrumental in shaping the finance function, both in the Cambridge head office and abroad.
The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with R&D, production and commercial functions and enjoy working in a fast-growing company.

Reporting to the Head of Finance and managing the operational finance function, including 1 team member you will be responsible for the Development and efficiency of the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting

Duties include:

• Maintenance of financial ledgers and ongoing development of accounting processes
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and commentary
• Oversight of processes and execution of payroll
• Preparation of VAT returns, CT returns
• Preparation of regular cash flow forecasts;
• Treasury management of cash and currency
• Preparation of budgets and reporting to internal business owners
• Management of R&D tax credits
• Statutory financial reporting

The role is based at the Cambridge office, with flexible working.  You will be energised by best working practises and process improvement and want to meet internal deadlines. 

This role is suited to a technical qualified accountant with experience of all aspects of a traditional financial controller role.
