Financial Accountant

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant in Norwich.

18 months Fixed Term Contract

The Financial Accountant (FA) will assist with the monthly and annual financial reporting. Reporting to the Group Financial Accountant, the FA will work with both the wider finance function and the operational business to ensure that accurate and complete information is filed in line with statutory deadlines. The FA will also assist with tax compliance, including preparation of VAT returns and overseeing corporation tax compliance, assisted by external advisors.

The role:
Preparation of statutory accounts
Assisting with cash-flow forecasting, modelling and monitoring projections
Assist with the preparation of the Group finance pack , which is distributed to the business on a monthly basis
Preparation of VAT return workings and associated reconciliations
Overseeing the preparation of the corporation tax returns in conjunction with external advisors
Keeping up to date with legislation and developments, supporting the business in changing systems, procedures, and processes as required

Our Successful Candidate:
It is essential that you can demonstrate a blend of industry training with commercial experience, demonstrating;

• Recognised finance and/or accounting qualification – ACCA, ACA or CIMA
• Proven experience in a senior commercial finance position, ideally within a business partnering role
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of tailoring your presentation of information to your audience
• Solution driven, capable of contributing to business planning through sound financial understanding, analysis and advice
• Capable of working autonomously where required, as well as being able to collaborate in a team environment
