The role

As they prepare for their next stage of growth they are now looking to recruit a key role within their finance department. As Financial Accountant you will support the finance team with financial governance, control, planning and analysis in 4 key areas -
  • Management & Statutory Accounting
  • Financial Reporting
  • Controls & Compliance
  • Cash and treasury
The role is a key central point of co-ordination for all group wide policies and processes that are common to individual sites and finance functions, and as such is a critical role as the business grows in size and complexity. 

The other key responsibility will be to ensure that budgets, forecasts and month end management accounts are accurately consolidated and analysed to provide the necessary insight for the local executive and management teams.  This will involve liaising with the commercial and operational finance functions to ensure all financials are accurately represented and that the necessary insight and commentary is summarised in an appropriate way.

The role will also take responsibility for ensuring that the statutory accounts and tax returns are completed and file in a timely manner. There will also be a number of adhoc projects within this role relating to the accounting structure, cost centres and reporting.

The person
This is a fast moving, dynamic business and as such are looking to recruit a driven, motivated individual, a natural self starter, who is looking to join a business that can offer a path for progression. 
  • Fully Qualified Accountant with industry experience or desire to move into industry
  • Experience of or ambition of managing small teams and developing and shaping team members for future progression
  • Experience of a finance role supporting and challenging at a mid-senior level
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Good communicator and able to engage
  • Highly analytical
