Pure are working with a great organisation based in Southend looking for a Finance Manger. This role would suit an established Finance Manager or somebody looking for a step up. Ideally you will be bright, ambitious and forward thinking, capable of streamlining processes and implementing new procedures.
As Finance Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and take responsibility for the day-to-day financial management, reporting and compliance in line with statutory requirements.
You will be responsible for the line management and development of the Central Finance Team including a Finance Business Partner and three Finance Officers
Job Responsibilities:
Cash flow reporting and analysis
Monthly management accounts
Advice and support to inform decision making at all levels
Support with the preparation and /or review of the statutory accounts
Review monthly/annual results and investigating variances taking action where necessary
To oversee the budgeting, financial control and accounting systems currently in use, including supporting the COO with the implementation of new finance systems.
Supervision of the finance team
Experience required:
· Proven experience in financial management at a senior level.
· Proven experience of statutory accounts preparation and establishing financial systems in an organisation.
· Experience of working alongside and in support of budget holders and senior managers to budget and track expenditure and accounts activity to manage finance overall.
· Experience of financial management systems across all financial matters.
· Experience of using Excel for data manipulation and reporting – e.g. vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
· Be able, knowledgeable and competent on a recognised accounting packages and be able to learn new accounting programs within short timescales.
· Experience of proven accurate data processing and reporting
