We are recruiting for a well-established, growing company in Chelmsford who are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their established team on a permanent basis.
 
Full Time- 9am-5.30pm-Monday- Friday

Hybrid working, study support, parking, and central to Chelmsford
 
This role has come up from progression within the team. The company are open to someone looking to step into their first accounts position.

Main Duties include:

  • Import and manual input to record all cash and sales ledger receipts
  • Regular follow-up on reconciling items, particularly outstanding cash sales receipts
  • Matching Invoices to PO
  • Validation/checking local site bookwork pre-processing
  • Coding invoices where required
  • Completion of import and manual input of purchase invoice transactions
  • Monthly reconciliation of Supplier records/statements on Accounts system
  • Preparation of Payment runs
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Provides cover for other Finance Assistant roles
  • Filing and Archiving of records
 
Attributes to be successful:
  • Studying AAT
  • Must understand accounts administration
  • Minimum Maths and English at GCSE Level
  • Good Excel skills
  • Methodical and analytical approach
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Must be hard-working and a team player
