Are you a Customer Assistant with experience in Supply Chain with ambitious career plans? If so, we have an opportunity to join a company that has experience continued growth and is now the leading distributor in the UK for their industry.
Working closely with the Supply Chain team, and reporting into the Supply Chain Lead, you will be responsible for making sure that customer orders are processed and administered effectively, using existing processes and procedures whilst focusing on corporate objectives - to provide a 100% service level to all customers in terms of order fulfilment, delivery on time, and product quality. You will be the primary point of contact for the Supply Chain team and provide support and insight to the wider internal Commercial and Supply Chain teams.
Key responsibilities will include;
• Administer the complete order cycle from receipt to warehouse.
• Provide support and interaction between the Customer (Supply Chain Analysts) and operational departments (Demand Planning, Commercial, Customer Service and Transport).
• Liaise closely with internal customers (Supply Chain, Commercial, Warehousing) and with the 3rd Party Haulier.
• Using your knowledge of Supply Chain, you will be making difficult choices when customer demands cannot be met. You will be speaking directly to customers and agreeing actions to resolve out-of-stocks.
• Responsible for controlling and actioning incident reports received from 3rd party hauliers. To identify cause and agree action to resolve.
• Daily reporting of the number of vehicles delivered to each depot withi customer portfolio, including reporting on shortages and order counts received.
The ideal applicant will be a customer-focused and motivated Supply Chain professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to build a long-term career within a successful and ambitious professional environment. Experience in a similar role, or academic / work studies in a similar or same field would be highly advantageous. Training will be provided.
The ideal applicant will have the following skills;
• Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail, thoroughness, and a methodical approach to work.
• Strong numeracy skills
• Establish and maintain working relationships with others.
• To collaborate and contribute towards the ongoing efforts for Continuous Improvement in service to both external and internal customers.
• To be able to effectively communicate at all levels.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure in this fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and organised.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday (37.5 hour week) as well as 1 in 5 Saturdays 8am-12pm and Bank Holidays on a 1 in 5 rota. The position is paying a competitive salary and comes with a range of benefits.
