My client, who is a Global business operating in over 37 Countries and employing over 11,000 staff is expanding further in the UK and is now seeking a Commodity Coordinator for an ASAP start. This is a Monday to Friday position and employment would be on a permanent basis.
Working in a friendly team of seven, your role would be to organise and control the execution and delivery of commodities to meet the requirements of the Buyer and the satisfaction of the Supplier. You would have your own list of clients that you will account manage so excellent customer service, rapport building, and organisational skills are a must. You'll liaise with these on a daily basis and oversee their purchase and sales contracts to ensure the terms and codes of practice are complied with, and that minimal mileage and transport costs are incurred.
You will keep abreast of the market prices, work with the transport section in regards to movement operations, and be responsible for implementing claims. You'll also be responsible for ensuring that the accurate information is inputted and maintained on the inhouse systems.
We are looking for someone who has a Supply Chain or Logistics background, ideally within Supply Chain Execution and within the food / agri industry would also be an added bonus. You'll have strong IT skills, excellent administrative abilities and be a real people person. You'll be calm under pressure, reliable and enthusiastic. Full training can be provided on everything else.
