Pure are partnering with a fast paced business based near the East Coast of Suffolk, recruiting for a Commercial Accountant.  This role is offering working from home 50% of the time and the opportunity to work with an established finance function that are part way through a change programme.  In this position the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the monthly management accounts for the business and assist with preparing quarterly forecasts and annual budgets. There is a stock and cost analysis element within this role too and would suit someone who has exposure to gross margins, standard costs, recovery rates and the ability to explain variances to budget.

In addition, this role will include the responsibility of ensuring that the stock is accounted for properly every period end and year end. This will involve undertaking a monthly stock reconciliation between actual stock and the stock accounted for in the general ledger.   It therefore requires an individual who is methodical, logical and has an inquisitive mind.

Candidates should have a background in the following:

  • Good understanding of stock systems, how to account for stock, stock reconciliations and stock takes.
  • Producing management accounts for several business divisions.
  • Forecasting and budgeting.
  • Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA – who wishes to continue studying.
  • Prepared to work as part of a team
  • Comfortable communicating across all areas of the organisation.
