Overview
We are partnering with a highly successful and growing organisation to recruit for a Assistant Finance Analyst, to join their high-performing team based in South Norfolk.
 
This opportunity is ideal for a budding finance analyst who is working towards a recognised accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA etc.)
 
 
The Opportunity:
The Assistant Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Acquisition team in ensuring that target opportunities are properly evaluated. You will be integral to the team & will be involved from start to completion of the acquisition process, supporting with:
  • Analysing targets,
  • Valuation of potential acquisitions,
  • Due diligence and evaluation of businesses, and
  • Helping coordinate integration of newly acquired businesses
 
The Responsibilities:
  • Gathering, evaluating & management of incoming deal IM's, financial and operating information about targets
  • Performing competitor research
  • Assist with preparation of valuation models, forecasts and investment business cases
  • Supporting the due diligence process
  • Supporting with drafting presentations
  • Contributing to meetings with sellers, advisors or internal departments, where you may be required to deliver parts of a presentation
  • Managing and updating acquisition trackers in a timely manner to help support monthly reporting
  • Input into the integration plans of newly acquired targets to ensure smooth handover & integration
  • Liaising with 3rd parties, to include vendors, professional advisors & banks
 
The Skills:
  • Proven experience working in a finance role. This opportunity would suit both a practise trained individual, or someone who has gained their experience in industry
  • Working towards a recognised finance qualification (CFQ, ACA, ACCA, AAT)
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint knowledge (essential)
  • Experience of financial modelling, analysing data, calculation of KPIs and report writing are ideal, however not essential as training will be given
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to communicate clearly with a range of people at differing levels
