The Opportunity:
The Assistant Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Acquisition team in ensuring that target opportunities are properly evaluated. You will be integral to the team & will be involved from start to completion of the acquisition process, supporting with:
- Analysing targets,
- Valuation of potential acquisitions,
- Due diligence and evaluation of businesses, and
- Helping coordinate integration of newly acquired businesses
The Responsibilities:
- Gathering, evaluating & management of incoming deal IM's, financial and operating information about targets
- Performing competitor research
- Assist with preparation of valuation models, forecasts and investment business cases
- Supporting the due diligence process
- Supporting with drafting presentations
- Contributing to meetings with sellers, advisors or internal departments, where you may be required to deliver parts of a presentation
- Managing and updating acquisition trackers in a timely manner to help support monthly reporting
- Input into the integration plans of newly acquired targets to ensure smooth handover & integration
- Liaising with 3rd parties, to include vendors, professional advisors & banks
The Skills:
- Proven experience working in a finance role. This opportunity would suit both a practise trained individual, or someone who has gained their experience in industry
- Working towards a recognised finance qualification (CFQ, ACA, ACCA, AAT)
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint knowledge (essential)
- Experience of financial modelling, analysing data, calculation of KPIs and report writing are ideal, however not essential as training will be given
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to communicate clearly with a range of people at differing levels
