We are delighted to working with an award winning business in Ongar looking for Senior Finance Assistant or Finance Manager to join their finance team.

This would be a fully office based role but based in lovely offices with a great environment.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 
Management Accounts and Reporting.

- Prepare for sign off and input routine month end journals.
- Actively support the production of monthly management accounts including gross margin report, profit and loss with associated variance analysis and balance sheet.
- With the Finance team, prepare for review, report on company assets and liabilities including all routine balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting details on all tangible and intangible assets and liabilities.
- Oversee preparation and submission of VAT returns quarterly.
- Assist the Group FD as directed.
- Prepare for review for and issue other ad-hoc reports including:
- Weekly cash flow for review and Sign Off
· Other Ad-hoc Reporting requests
 
 Sales & Purchase Ledger
 
-        Assist and support the rest of the finance team in all the duties and responsibilities related to the Sales and purchase ledger and associated functions of all businesses.
-        Monitor and report on all credit control activity and status for weekly presentation at the weekly meeting.
-        Compile all outputs so that aged debtors and creditors reports are timely, accurate and fit for purpose.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Previous accounting experience/exposure ideally with early-stage bookkeeping or AAT qualifications.
  • Experience with Sage products.
  • Excellent Excel skills for routine Pivot and Look Up table level.
  • Preferably having at least three years of experience in a similar all round SME finance role.
