Software Engineer Cloud Applications

We are delighted to be working with a Cambridge based BioTech company who are looking to add software engineers to their new Cloud team. It's a really great time to be joining this company in their exciting journey! 
This role is on a hybrid or remote basis (with travel to the Cambridge office when required) 

Software Engineer (Cloud Applications)

The team will focus on the design and implementation of a brand-new cloud-based application allowing scientists to design brand-new patient therapies. The suite consists of both an extensive single page application, and a high-capacity, high-availability data warehouse API. This will require close collaboration with the wider software and data analysis teams and the QA/Test teams to ensure the system is scalable, performant, and secure. It’s an exciting time to join this early-stage project and play a key role in its development.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Designing and developing cloud based systems, including single-page-applications and RESTful APIs
• Working closely with a range of teams to ensure system scalability and performance
• Using Agile processes to ensure key deliverables are met to time and quality

Requirements:
We would expect you to have:
• Track record in developing scalable, high-availability and secure cloud-based apps
• Knowledge of C# programming  
• Proven experience of cloud development environments (AWS / Azure)
It would be advantageous for you to have: 
• Life-science domain knowledge
• Familiarity with security and threat evaluations (pen testing)
