My client is a Global manufacturer and World-leader in its industry. They work with a range of prestigious companies, and have experienced continuous year-on-year growth. Due to an impending retirement, they are now seeking a Process & Development Engineer with a mechanical background to join their workforce and play a key role within their organisation. 

Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor, and working within a busy Engineering team, your role will be to support with mechanical maintenance within the Production departments with a strong emphasis on process development, improvement initiatives, and site services. You will work on customer and internally driven improvement initiatives, which will focus on CI, quality, and energy savings, as well as working with the Maintenance team during planned maintenance events, and to also support on site wide maintenance issues as and when required. 

Your key competencies will cover; 

Health & Safety: Working in a responsible matter to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all individuals as well as yourself
Quality Standards: In depth knowledge of process and product quality standards and documentation, and current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP)
Maintenance & Development: Ensuring equipment is developed and maintained to ensure production and quality requirements are achieved.
Training: Developing the mechanical knowledge of Senior Technicians and Key Technicians where necessary. 

The ideal applicant for this position will possess Fabrication / Welding, Turning, Milling, and Grinding equipment experience, strong interpersonal skills, proof of competency up to a minimum level of ONC but HNC or above would be advantageous, Bench Fitting experience, as well as previous experience of working in a controlled Manufacturing environment, preferably involving good standards of hygiene and housekeeping. 

It would also be highly desired for you to have any of the following; Strong IT skills including AutoCAD, Electrical awareness / knowledge, proven diagnostic fault-finding skills, PNeumatics experience, IPAF (Scissor Lift), IOSHH (Awareness of Legionella).

This is a full time, permanent position with an ASAP start. You would be working Monday to Friday with a a degree of flexibility required as and when.
